Family Ties

One of the most cherished things about family are the secrets and family recipes that you share with only each other. It is truly amazing how much people bond over flaming grills, secret ingredients, and a good glass of wine.
Recently, I had the opportunity to recreate one of my favorite family recipes that originated from my Dad and his Father while traveling through the Bahamas and the Caribbean Islands. Before leaving to head back to school my Dad and I made a "Bellisari Favorite,"
Smoked Fish Dip.
Like most family recipes there are always the family members that will make it best, which I can only hope to become one day. They tend to be the Grandma's, the Grandpa's, the Mom's, the Dad's and occasionally the Aunt's and Uncle's. For this specific recipe it is my Father, who just happens to be a master at all things Seafood.
Now I can't give away the recipe that is yet to be written down, but I can tell you a GOOD piece of smoked fish, a little sour cream, a couple of missing ingredients, and some secret spices can go a long way.
For the days that you are together or maybe you are not and need a little reminder of the ones you love, don't forget your family ties and whip up some your best memories of home.

Summer Lovin'

In the real world, while most Grown-Ups are eagerly anticipating the start of school, the rekindling of schedules, and the "end of summer" most kids are dreading the sound of the screeching tires in the sand that means SUMMER IS OVER.
In the other real world, the other Grown-Ups have taken note that in-fact Summer is nowhere near over  and must be celebrated thoroughly until the change of Seasons; Because they know there is no end to summer merely just a shift.
We tend to plan our seasons around  the schedule of society forgetting to embrace what is left of each and every beautiful blooming season. I am here to help guide you through the Seasons of the year with fresh ideas, produce, and spices that will enhance your idea of Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring.
No matter what season it may be or whichever one you might be stuck in, I can help you add a little summer to your winter.
Seasonally Yours,
Kylie Bee
